Together with policymakers from the Municipality of Groningen and Studio Marcha we worked on ‘Because the people make the city: citymaking for generous Groningen’. The project addressed the increasing diversity of Groningen and the need to work in a new way on diversity policy, participation processes and policy implementation. We worked with mixed teams of citymakers on municipal challenges, using design-based methods, to deliver interventions for more inclusive neighbourhoods.
The project was funded by the Fund for Creative Industries and the Municipality of Groningen. Currently working on a follow-up handbook for generous citymaking.
