Maieutic’s mission is to help cities better understand and serve their people.
Maieutic operates at the intersection of research, policy and urban society, to deliver research and policy reports, programme development, keynote lectures and workshops.
Working in partnership with urban governance professionals, policy makers, academic researchers and creative practioners, our projects draw on existing academic research (in sociology, urban studies, migration studies, cultural studies, psychology), as well as original research employing qualitative and design-based methods .
Maieutic represents a generous and curious mindset, working across disciplinary boundaries but with conceptual clarity, to realise new forms of socio-cultural life.
Areas of specialisation
Urban policy, governance and programme development for internationalisation and diversity.
Areas of interest
The connection between cultural identity and agency in civic engagement. The role of play in civic culture. And most broadly: identity and forms of life.
