URBACT - Good Practices / Transfer Network
URBACT is the EU programme for integrated urban development. Groningen was awarded the URBACT Good Practices label on the basis of our projects which respond to the challenges of internationalisation.
Maieutic co-wrote the report and application. From 2018-2021, Groningen lead the URBACT Transfer Network, “Welcoming International Talent” and served as local expert in the transfer network and worked with policymakers and urban governance professionals on the transferability report.
In the transfer network we focus on the question of how cities can effectively deal with the challenge of attracting, welcoming, retaining and integrating international students and professionals, and shared experiences with six other cities across Europe. Currently we are compiling a handbook of good practices on the basis of this work.
